Lemon Beach Resort is a hotel and resort on J.J. Rawlings High Street in Elmina, open since 2019. The idea is simple: you are looked after like someone special, fed home-style cooking, and put up in design-led rooms built for a proper night’s sleep. It runs as an all-in-one base, where the team plans, guides and hosts the whole trip from arrival to departure rather than just handing over a key. The resort sits about five minutes from Elmina Castle and close to Fort St Jago, with Cape Coast and Kakum within easy reach.
A stay at lemon Beach Resort goes further than the room. Since 2011 the resort has put guest money to work in Elmina, employing more than 40 local staff and funding schooling for over 60 children. Booking a night helps keep that going.
Guest marks are consistently high: 4.5 on Google, 4.8 on TripAdvisor, 9.4 on Expedia and 9.0 on Booking.com, across more than 1,600 verified reviews, plus a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award. The buildings, in an African style built to European standards, were designed by Czech architect Jiří Jež.
